The Tony Thwaites Wing of the University of the West Indies Private Wing is inviting applications to fill the post of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Nurses.

Our hospital is a 51-bed medical and surgical facility affiliated with the University Hospital of the West Indies and provides world class private healthcare to Caribbean and international patients.

Requirements

Current registration with the Nursing Council of Jamaica;
At least two (2) years experience in the area of specialty;
Demonstrated interpersonal and written communication skills;
Current BLS, EKG and ACLS (where applicable);
Able to work 12 hours shifts, weekends, holidays;
Trained in Endoscopy or have experience working in an Endoscopy Suite;
Ability to recognize and articulate general complications associated with sedation;
Proficient in using endoscopy equipment.
